I do have highspeed but only for the past 8 months. We also live out in the middle of no where (aka:my heaven) and it has it's downfalls such as having to wait this long to get access to highspeed. We jumped at the chance as soon as it was given to us! I LOVE it! I didn't have the patience to deal with Dial-Up so I rarely used the computer at home then.

I love you Bradley! You are hilarious!!! Hope life treats you better soon.......real soon....before you...Idk....explode out into an outburst like...Idk...like just now! Jk, it was so funny! We've all been there and it does suck! You'll get out of that rut soon, don't worry.

Yes....but I get mine for free courtesy of the kindness of a local community cheapnet. Well, that and I'm as poor as dirt--online on a donated computer too. Everybody I hear about locally that "wants to" offer me internet service doesn't *just* want to offer me cable modem or DSL service by itself...oh no....they want me to buy *packages* full of crap I don't want too, so I end up spending $50-75 a month I *don't really have*. o_O

Sorry, but I have bills to feed and mouths to pay over here. Not to mention, my computer and its OS are more than a bit glitchy and messed-up right now, *AND* I live over in public housing so I can't really *get anything* that would require extra wiring and/or antennae don't you know (being seven stories up rather nips the whole satellite dish thing in the bud).

In plain, blunt, ordinary english: I'm broke. I can't really afford the paltry little I have going on right now--in terms of just getting my computer maintained and up-to-date. And while I am trying to get my life more together so I can work more and earn more....still, I have a *lot* of things that need taken care of before I think about DSL "packages", ok??

Sorry to go on so, but I get *so* tired of getting spam in the mail from people (the phone and cable company) who know where I *LIVE* (what part of "brokeass ghetto public housing" don't you get?) and yet somehow think I'm *MADE* of money. WTF?? Are people stupid? Are they retarded?

Ah, that's enough out of me....thanks for your time! ^_^

Since cash does not look to be a significant dilemma for you - BROADBAND!!!! Definitely! I are living within the US, & have no idea what premiums are like within the UK, however except the change in price is astronomical, it's far more than made up in phrases of the price of a while while looking forward to matters to load w/ dial-up.... In phrases downloading & pages loading, broadband is far, manner quicker, notably for the ones pages that experience plenty of photos & different matters on them. Some pages you will not also be equipped to peer while making use of dial-up, b/c the technological know-how used on the ones pages runs such a lot quicker than a dial-up connection can manage. And a few matters, like photos, can take see you later to load w/ dial-up, you can also good come to a decision it isn't valued at it to attend round to peer them. Plus, in the event you use a land line mobilephone, w/ broadband you'll be able to be on the net & the mobilephone even as, while w/ dial-up you could desire a moment land line to do each even as.
