Ditto to several above answers, will just add the percentage seems to be 11% in one category. I have never seen a TC with less than 30 best answers in one category. Also some people with it, the badge come and goes sometime two or three times in a week. So the percentage within a certain time is the determinate factor. I don't have the exact number.

I don't think it has anything to do with what level you are (I'm only level four). It's how many answers you give in a certain catergory and what your best answer percentage is in that catergory. Someone may have more points but contribute to a variety of catergories and so won't be top contributer. I always think it has to do with how many questions you answer in week by week timeframes. Asking too many questions might deduct a lot of points but maybe it is because they are still contributing to a certain catergory???

MMMM, good question....Im also curious to see what answers come about from this.
Maybe they had a lot of points that came from have the Best Answers but then they slowly lost points because they asked too many questions.
Forgive me if Im totally off........just making an educated guess,lol.

You need to have a high percentage of Best Answers in one specific category (YA will give you a TC badge up to 3 categories).
A TC badge has nothing to do with your amount of points or your level.
