Yes actually. The best way to know is to look at the screws on the bottom of your laptop. If any of them show signs of stress, such as scratches or any sign of a screw driver then it isn't new.

Sure a carfax report can tell you its repair and accident history...but it can not tell you about its neglect and /or the teenager who had it before and their driving habits.You might have gotten a car that was ran hard, abused, and seriously neglected.Its a buick, not my first choice , not by a long shot. When buying a used car its best to buy it from someone you knew and how they treated it. @Huggy my 2000 Chevy Prism with over 270,000 miles starts every morning and gets me to work and back..all I have ever done is replace oil, and the brakes...maintenance is the key.

It is illegal to sell a used computer as new. Even if the box has been opened and the unit not used it is not new. Has the LT been registered to a different owner?

well if u buy it new then its new. if u buy it used then its used. i do not understand ur question.
