Hey there!

Use the property log(a)-log(b)=log(a/b).

So log(x+5)-log(x) would simplify to log(x+5/x).

log (x+5) - log x
= log ((x + 5) / x)
= log (1 + 5/x)

Not much else you can do with it.

log ( x+5) - log(x) = log ( (x+5)/x )
