1) Two parallel copper rods are 1.3 cm apart. Lightning sends a 16 kA pulse of current along each conductor. The permeability of free space is 1.25664 x 10^-6 N/ A^2. Calculated the force per unit length on one conductor. Answer in units of N/m.

F = u0*I1*I2/(2*pi*d) force/unit length

I1 = I2 =16 kA
d = 0.013 m

F = 3938.3 Nt/m

F=e*i^2
F/l = e*i^2/l
=16000^2*1.25664e-6/0.013m
