Oh my gosh you're just like me! Unfortunately, you can't . But, you can volunteer at the humane society and help out the vets, you can also volunteer at the nursing home, it's not exactly the same but it's better than nothing.

Some hospitals will allow you to volunteer if you are over the age of 13 or 14 and have your parents permission. If it is 14 in your city you can...
Go to the Red Cross and learn CPR and First Aid, that will really help you out for next year.
Then check to see what the Red Cross needs volunteers for, as they always have something for someone your age to do.
Most city's have a "volunteer" non profit...call them and see if they have anything listed that will work for you.

In the Northern Kentucky area, you must be at least 14 years old in order to volunteer. Just call your local hospital (and nursing homes) and ask what their requirements are. Good luck!!

Go to the volunteer office of the hospital nearest you and see what they have to offer. It's unlikely that you'll get to do anything like what you have in mind, but you'll probably get to read to patients or spend time with with some kids.

Most hospitals you have to be fourteen. Find a hospital in your area, go to their website, and look for volunteering information. It should tell you there.

You are not to young for volunteer work. They will have you bring fresh water into the rooms, or deliver flowers. Good for you, more people need to volunteer. It will give you a unique perspective on life.

Usually they wait until a person is in high school. One option you could do is talk to local doctors and ask if you can shadow them and or do some work in their office. Most doctors are more than willing to allow students watch them on basic procedures and patience check ups.

Even if you can't officially volunteer, you can still ask permission to go talk to the elderly, they would love it, maybe spend 20 Min's a day reading to them.
