I used to speed up but when hubby got his picture taken while going through a yellow/red light and had to pay $ 248.00 I now stop for all yellow lights if I can safely.

If it just turned yellow I go faster. If I know I probably won't make it I slow down. I also slow down if the person in front of me slows down. It's not a good idea to go faster when that happens.

it depends on where I am at in relation to the yellow light....normally I will speed up to make it, unless I know that I'm going to be pushing it too much, then I will slow down. There are also a lot of times where it makes more sense to speed up because you would have to brake too hard in order to stop in time. It needs to be an educated judgement call on the part of a driver.

I am a little more cautious now...going faster almost got me a ticket a few months back....the cop told me yellow means slow down and prepare to stop, or speed up and prepare for ticket!!!

Well, if it`s to the point where I can not stop (or everything in the car goes flying out the front windshield), then I go faster (or when there`s another car on your ***) Usually though, I slow down and then stop.

lol - Depends on what yellow light it is! We have red light cameras here that give tickets if you run the light. So if its one with a camera then slow down and stop so you don't get a ticket. If its not one with a camera then speed up!

If I'm close, I go faster. If I'm farther away from it and have the time and space to stop, then I slow down.
