Claim your affiliation to the either party if it applies;

Now, instead of generic answers, what would be 3 points of argument for one partisan or the other to convince the "other" party to denounce affiliation with their current party.

I didn't say ALL Democrats were liberal. Hence, the phrase liberal democrat means just that, liberal democrat, no conservative democrat, etc...Where do people get THAT idea...?

White; could I make this any simpler? I AM NOT IMPLYING ALL LIBERALS ARE DEMOCRATS.

I AM ASKING LIBERAL DEMOCRATS AND CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS. I'm truly sympathetic to you. If I wanted to know what conservative democrats thought, I WOULD HAVE ASKED what they thought.

Alright, it's all good. I was just curious to see. Thanks for answering and if I came off brash I apologize, too.

O.K. The question wasn't for me because I'm a moderate democrat but I still want to answer.

That said, as a democrat I would make these three statements.

1. We have better late night parties. Sure we run out of beer sooner than they do but thats because they have more money.

2. Were honest about taxes. Democrats will up your taxes. Republicans say they won't but then they do.

3. While they (republicans) talk tough it was a Democrat that actually dropped the bomb.

4. It's odd that while my party supports gay rights, it's the republicans that keep getting caught in same sex trists. Our guys have affairs with women.

Sorry that was four .. oh well they count better.

Point #1 I think gay and lesbian lifestyle is liberal
Its a lifestyle that I dont approve of so I dont support their right to marriage

Point #2 We all started out as a fertilized egg a what point did your own life begin. Abortion is wrong. I am pro life.

Point #3 This nation is the greatest nation in the world everyone in the world would like to live here yet they cant seem to change their countries to be like ours. Their jealousies cause them to hate us and want to kill us. You cant negotiate with terrorist. We need to have a strong military to protect our freedoms for our children.

I could go on but that is the position of a conservative.

If you dont remember the Jimmie Carter years then do some research. That is the last time the Democrates had full control.
Every Major City in this country looked like a slum. If you like a clean house and a clean country that is a conservative live style. If the Democrates regain control watch this country go back to looking like a dump again

Conservative Democrate is an Oxymoron the only one in office is Joe Lieberman and the rest of his party hate him.

As for as Republicans go... they are nothing more than liberal symphethisers

Conservative

National Security.
Al Queida was planning their attacks in the 90's, duing slick-willy's watch. He knew about it (been proven), and yet did nothing to stop Bin Laden.

Healthcare:
Nationalized healthcare hasn't worked in Canada, the UK, or any other nation that has attempted it. The dying in those countries come to the US for treatment. Why? because ours is simply better.

Values:
Liberals don't have them. Hillary can't decide wether she's in favor of a pull-out or not; or wether the troops are baby-killing-terrorists or "our poor children". She and all other demoncrats have the strong and resolved belief in saying whatever poll numbers call popular. Conservatives believe what we believe. If you don't like it fine, but at least you know where we stand.

i am not sure i understand your question...but here goes...

i am, or used to be independent....i voted for the man/woman who was closest to my ideology.... i changed...

i will not vote democrat....the reasons...

1. US strength... we used to be the one power in the world to reckon with...now we are weak...we have lost heart...we have forgotten freedom is not free... we are not willing to do whatever it takes to keep our land free...

2. we have become a nation of entitlements... Johnson's Great Society...what a joke! take money from hard working americans to give to those who won't work...and even "share the wealth" with illegal aliens...

3. taxes...democrats know nothing but raising taxes...so that "wealth" can be shared...

and number 4...probably the most important one...states rights...the federal government has taken over...and it is ridicules...that is not the way it was meant to be...hell why bother changing state laws? the feds will come in and regulate the hell out of us anyway....

i am not rich..and they hurt me...they take my money to give it to someone who does not know the worth of money because it it handed to them...they are "entitled"....

i will vote for anyone who believes our country needs to be strong..and that doesn't include paying the way for those able bodied who refuse to work...and who doesn't believe a new law will solve everything...

both sides should abandon their parties and join Unity08.com.

Both parties point fingers at blame at the other side far too often and get little if anything substantive done.

Both parties are guilty of partisan politics and not going along with the other party even when it is in the best intrest of the country.

Both parties, at least for the moment, seem to be offering more of the same.
