This 12 year old girl is sooo pretty ( I know they found her and shes like 40 now) and her eyes are sooo fierce.
DId you guys know that like all afghans have the same eye color, omgosh its like a group of people like Pashtuns or something, they are all persians and all have those fierce eyes and olive skin. Okay and whats more interesting is that another Afghan American girl who came here because of the war over there did a photoshoot to pay honor to the original afghan girl, and shes like I guess the face for afghan Americans.

their ethnicity is called Pashtuns (afghan) and theres 40 million of them in Afghanistan and pakistan. They are to me, like the most beautiful group of people.

She's a beautiful girl, haunting you I don't knoe why, but she is beautiful. Looks like she is ready to fight, maybe she experienced a painful event in her life, or is guarded for some reason. Her eyes do not look open. They look defensive. I don't know, that's what I though. In the second pic she looks so much more serene, like she doesn't have to fight so much anymore.

I'm an Afghani girl, my father is Pashtun.
Her eyes were digitally enhanced by the publishing magazine, they're not quite as fierce.

as for why it haunts you, perhaps it's because of the events going on in my home country. that females like her are being slaughtered and raped everyday for oil and power.

The first pic freaks me out! It looks as if her eye's are popping out of the picture looking at me!
In the second picture she is beautiful, but she still has that weird stare......creepy!

I think her eyes are beautiful. So fierce and she seems like she's a fantasy. Like she doesn't exist anywhere but when she haunts your mind she's real.

I know her name, i have on my National Geographic cover issue. Her name's Sherbat Gula , which means shorbet and sugar. Shes's very beautiful..i agree with you.

i already know this cause i am part persian. i want to thank u for appreciating people for who they are. thanx because nowadays people just tend to think that pashtuns, afghanis, and punjabis are just terrorists.
