Yogi Berra. Best all-round catcher. Ivan Rodriguez is the best, but I'll wait for him to retire to say it. Bench played a lot at other positions and wasn't as good with a stick as Yogi or Pudge.

If you want hitting, it's Piazza or Bench. Pudge maybe for best defensive catcher.

Johnny Bench - of all the "greatest at a position" debates I think this is most clear.

Richard Simmons.

Oh, sorry, you are talking baseball. Well, the greatest I have seen is Pudge. But Johnny Bench I have heard was pretty dang good. That's just what I heard though.

Not Pudge, he's linked to steroids.

I'd say Bill Dickey, he's better than Yogi. Yogi was a good hitting catcher, but Piazza was the best hitting catcher.
