I'm a new mom to triplets. My husband and I are PROUD parents. These babies are our first ones and we are nervious about everything. My first word was not mom or dad. The first word mom told me was up. David's first word was at. We are just curious about the first word you ever said. (No Swear Words).

I have no idea, as my parents never told me what mine was... but my daughter's first word (other than mama or dada) was duck. We had a pond by our house and we would go look at the ducks a lot, and when she was just 7 or 8mths I heard a very clear 'duck' come out of her mouth. Now she's 22mths and she's speaking in sentences! It's crazy how fast it goes.

Apparently my mom was putting me in my crib for the night and I sat up and said No I don't want to... Of course I was like 17 months old at the time, so I started late :D

I hve no idea but my oldest son said Dada first, my second son said mum (and refused to say dad til he was about one..we would say to him say dad...and he would laugh and say dddd- MUM!). My daughters first words were NO which was soon followed by NO DOG, yelling at our puppy.

My first word was ' dada' (soooo original)

my mother said that my first word was "hi" ... but she also told me once that my first putting of two word together was "Bob's on" we would always watch The Price is Right...

I am Greek so my first words were-mpama nelo-which means mama-papa ( in one word ), water but in the baby's language! the actual word for water is nero.

"batman"
funny story: I had a little blue batman toy (I think it may have been a dog toy, that's what it looks like in pictures...LOL!) I never went anyplace without it. My parents were taking me somewhere and they'd left batman in the house, so I started freaking out, and said "batman"....LOL!

Pops which is what I call my grandfather (not sure why but I do). I was at their house during the day so my grandma taught my how to talk.
