Personally, SweetJane, I hold on to the belief that Democrats and Republicans are one party with two factions. They're sleeping together! You've heard too often "it's time for a change" during the '06 election season. Well, change hasn't occurred. Voting Democratic didn't mean change and voting for Bush in '00 didn't mean a change in morals at the White House. Unfortunately we've been duped into believing you either vote Republican or Democratic. Give me a break people and WAKE UP!

Who did that????? Who was running the show for the last 6 years (and, really, still is)????? Who says we have a volunteer military - yet "backdoors" the troops to the war zone for longer and longer rotations????? Who's riding high with the oil companies???? Who allowed corporate "bankruptcies" at an all time high (read that allowed corporation to pillage their employees' retirement funds)??????? The history of the past 6 years is what's going to pitch the Republican out of office - they don't need any help from the Democrats, they can shoot themselves in their collective feet quite easily on their own.
Geez - there's plenty of blame to go around, don't you think. Please - think for yourself - rhetoric is so unbecoming.
(OK - let's have those thumbs down from all you who think I don't have the right to an opinion if it doesn't match yours!)

I am shocked. I honestly thought they would do far better for the citizens of the US. I am disgusted. I am also disgusted by the missing weaponry in Iraq. I'm beginning to think that our government on the whole has lost it's mind.

What is truly surprising is how you rationalize monitoring phone calls that take place between 2 foreign destinations as a constitutional issue. It is not. Monitoring communications outside of the United States has been an intelligence function under every President since George Washington.

I think that it would be a no brainer to say that the Rep are athe ones that put the law in place and that the Dem should do everything that they can to remove it.

Sure looks that way - but yes, I'm shocked. They're either being threatened or bribed.

I'm shocked that the American people simply stood by and watched it happen. No one lifted a finger to stop them. America deserves to have its constitution flushed down the toilet because no one cares about it today. They just want guns and choice.

What doesn't shock me is the lack of supporting evidence in your post. How can you ask people their opinion on something without telling them what that something is?

Gasp! I hope big brother can stay awake through my boring conversations with aunt Ida. If they can, I applaud them!
