Which Final Fantasy game is your favorite and why?

Final Fantasy X is my favorite. I thought it had a great storyline. I loved Yuna's character, and that really drew me into the game. There was great romance (Yuna & Tidus), sad, moving moments (Auron & Tidus *sob*), and terrific characters. My second fave would be FF6. This game had a great storyline, and one of the most evil villians ever! Kefka was a maniac.

Final Fantasy III or VI depending on how you look at it.

Who would have thought that such great music could be put out on the NES.

It was also like 2 games. You had the world before Armageddon, and the world after Armageddon. Took a page from Zelda: A Link to the Past.

The characters were unique in their own ways. Each of the main characters have a reason for why they want to save the world.

And the story was touching. Tara in the orphanage, comforting the little kids.

I have quite a few favourites:
FFX : Tidus life story and the blitzball.
FFIX : The funniest Final Fantasy ever made.
FFVIII: The toughest Final Fantasy to beat. I love the mysterious Squall and the card game is too interesting to miss.
FFVII : Yes. This is one of the best Final Fantasy ever made by far. Chocobo race is addictive.

The rest of the final fantasy is lovely. FFXII : i find it way too boring, hard to make gil, espers are not that powerful, overdrives arent that powerful, the wyrms family drives me nuts. Its rather disappointing really. All the praises of the games are way overrated.

Final Fantasy VII is without a doubt, the best in the series. It is just your classic good vs. evil and that is why even though it is a psone game, it is still popular today. The characters are well thought out and the plot is easy to follow.

Well, really all the Final Fantasies have good storylines and the graphics in X, X-2, and XII are awesome, but VII is still the best.

Mine personally would have to be Final Fantasy 7. Amazing, engaging story, memorable characters, great battle system, Best hero/villain ever.

Final Fantasy 11 was another fave just because im a big MMO fan but 7 is still by far the best.

i like Final Fantasy 12 because of the graphics and the layout of the storyline its very interesting but at the same time very hard and challenging these are the games i like which are hard and not too easy which i can accomplish in a 1 or 2 weeks

FFVII by far, I've played every FF to date and I STILL can't get enough of how enjoyable it is. Deepest story, bet hero, best villian, best ninja, best vampire-ish optional character, best stuffed animal,...lol I'll stop that. FFVII is actually deep, mature, makes you really dig deep and think about what's going on and why. Thus it is still the only FF with a movie, and the most sequels (mixed good thing and bad);

Besides that VI, IX, X were all great. DO NOT forget to play Xenogears as well, excellent excellent game, and Chrono Trigger too!

Final Fantasy X, without a doubt. I loved the whole sphere grid idea, and I actually played the game twice. The second time, I redid the whole sphere grid and totally maxed out my characters.

final fantasy 8 because i loved the music, the graphics were that bad, the cut scenes were amazing, the junction system was awesome, the personality of the characters made me feel for them. over all it had a great customizing and gameplay graphics, and challange mix and i loved it.
