Perhaps it would be best if you were to ask this question in a psychology category instead of philosophy. A philosopher could give you a well-pondered answer based on philosophical concepts of self, but philosophy is still characteristic of much bigger question. It is the job of psychology to examine, test, and evaluate it's findings based on individual's who suffer from various personality disorders. The philosopher may ask why do some people split and splinter, but the psychologist must ask how. How does a person become multiple personalities. "How does the complex of inferiority/superiority" become manifest in such persons. I can answer you plainly, but not precisely: A splintered person--a fragmented multiplied person is attempting to survive and the confusion in her or his psyche becomes deeply entrapped in a cycle of self-contempt versus his or her self viewed as god-like because one hopes to be accepted and is not so one hopes to gain power in an attempt to be obeyed. Sanity is precious. Our frantic desires to never completely lose our minds, often tricks us into believing we had better be loved or else we will hate. It's a hard question to answer, but always one worthy of deep consideration and immense compassion for those who are trying so desperately to be human.

Although generally Gestaltist with a Rogerian background, my thinking on this and the multiple personality disordered people I've encountered would tend more toward the Freudian three part division of Id, Ego, and Super-ego, with both Id and Super-ego manifesting at alternative points as the "superior' while the poorly formed Ego is the persecuted "inferior" due to the incredible difficulties these persons have with self-esteem and poorly integrated personalities. Either the primitive passions of the powerful Id or the hyper judgmental aspects of the Super-ego take over in a Jekyll and Hyde struggle for supremacy. The person manifests as St. Theresa or Mumbala with a prisoner hiding behind a rock.

I'd go to Fritz Perls for the ground figure understanding of dealing with that real person who is the prisoner behind the rock.

Exactly why the person has multiple personalities. He goes down to the bottom of himself this moment, and rises above everyone the next moment. He feels confident at times, boosting his "imaginary" achievements,..laying down his "ingenious plans" and suggestions...or joining discussion sittings. The next times find him in a quiet corner, pretending to be so consumed with his reading props,..edgily rejecting invitations,..shying away from questions.

taking multiple personalities into consideration
one acts as a inferior or superior based on what kind of personality he is having at that particular moment.........
for example if a person is in angry or arrogant mood he is bound to behave in an superior complex........
the same way if a person is depressed he is bound to behave inferiorly.........

I beat up cats and dogs. No I really don't have a dark side. What you see is what you get. I was a heavy drinker and seemed to always get in bar fights when I was younger. Usually protecting women from other drunks. Go figure a drunk fighting a drunk.

Making grand sweeping assumptions, the qualities of person are split and immanently attributed to each, but each quality is not intrinsic to each but to the destroyed totality. All is false in the multi-person person.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.
