think about it if you were going out of town for the weekend. bring a lose fitting outfit, pajamas, slippers, toiletries, husbands clothes, dont worry about the underwear because the hospital has disposable that will fit better for the pads you have to wear there. And a premie size outfit for the baby, its best to have a "just born" or a premie size, even though some clothes may say newborn, they will still be big, so look into that if you dotn have any clothes that size. But its kind odf like a weekend trip. If your 35 weeks, anytime between now and 37 weeks is fine. I didnt pack until my last week. but i knew i was goign to be late, i know my body. Good LUck and COngrats.

I would have some essentials packed already; at least 2 changes of clothes, some snacks, diapers, car seat, baby clothes, swaddling blankets, etc. The other stuff you use on a day-to-day basis, like deodorant, toothbrushes, etc. you should grab before you go.
When you go into labor, it could be minutes before you're feeling the urge to push. That's not a good time to start packing.
My wife and I made the mistake of over-preparing, based on what we learned during childbirth class were essential items for natural childbirth. You don't need to bring tennis balls, bathing suits, or anything else regardless of whether or not you're getting an epidural. Pack what you would if you were going to a hotel for 3-4 days, and remember that you'll have a baby to care for and bring home with you.
Congratulations!

Pack the bag now....you never know, and you're ready then!
pack some toiletries like your fav soap/ some shampoo and conditioner, moisturizer for your face, a brush....i'm a nurse in labor /delivery, and the stuff the hospitals supply usually are not what you want, trust me!
Also a soft nightgown- don't bother with pajama pants- you'll have to keep changing or taking them down for the nurses to check everything.
If you get cold easily, bring a comfy blanket and a robe.
You really don't need much else- maybe a little make-up if you wear it so you look nice when visitors come!

Congratulations!! You should pack your bag now, I went into Labor at 36 wks. Daughter was born 02/28/07 and everything was fine, but quite an early surprise. You need to bring, your robe, slippers, your pillow if you have a fav, toothbrush and toothpaste, makeup, deodorant, hair brush, pony tail holder, clothes to wear home (most likely still maternity clothes, but maybe from the end of your first trimester), a couple outfits for baby, tank top/bra to wear under your gown if you want, I'll add if I think of anything else. Good luck to you!! Is this your first?

Pack it now just in case. A friend of mine was going to wait until she was 37 weeks. She ended up having her baby 4 weeks early! She was running around her house water leaking and all while she was trying to pack her bag! hahaha The earlier the better! :)

Now,girl... The best is to be prepared....Never wait till the last moment ( My daughter decided that she's ready to face the world before I packed my maternity bag....What a rush...!!! Pheew !! ) Anyway, Toiletries are a must as well as spare clothings, disposable panties, maybe a book or cd player for those times when you are alone, maternity pads are always welcome as well as nursing pads...
As for your baby, a set of his/her clothing as well as booties and mittens , a cap and a wrap ( for the day that the baby return home )...
This is just some ideas....Anyway, congrats..
