Man, you are very ignorant. First off Irvin made bad decisions that affected his own life. Pete affected the integrity of the game.

Because the football hall of fame does not take integrity into account, while the baseball hall of fame specifically mentions integrity as a criteria.
And Pete Rose admitted to the one infraction in baseball which carries a lifetime disqualification as a penalty. Football does not disqualify players for abusing coke.

Well, if Pete Rose would have come clean from jump street and devoted his life to being a better father and man that works to make the world better for others....well, he would be in as well.
I was not even a fan of Irvin's and questioned his eligibility also, but after hearing his speech, that was done with no notes and from the heart. Well, he sold me.

Sounds like you are making this an attack on the Baseball Hall of Fame, when I actually feel it is more of an indictment of the Football Hall of Fame.
Rose bet on baseball - plain and simple. Get over it.

Pete lied for so many years before he came clean. He should have come clean right off the bat

I pay little attention to the lesser sports or their various pale-imitation Halls, but the baseball Hall does aspire to maintaining high standards of quality.
