I'm assuming that your Dracaena (AKA Lucky Bamboo) is planted in soil rather than standing in water. I don't know how big it is, but one thing that may work is to find a large saucer or tub that you can put about 3-4 inches of pea gravel and water. Place the plant on the gravel and it will wick up the water while you are away.
Hope this helps a little.
Good luck

Bamboo is pretty hearty. It grows almost every where, but if you are still worried, Give a friend ten bucks and precise instructions on how to take care of it and ask them to stop by once a day and promise them another twenty bucks if it's still alive and well by the end of the week.

PS. You won't be able to bring it with you or back when you are an exchange student. Countries are worried about foreign plant diseases being introduced to their agriculture. Leave it home with a friend when you are going abroad, get a new one when you get there, and get a new one when you get back. Sorry, but the plant has to die sometime.

You can buy a watering stake. You stick it into the pot with the plant and the water slowly leaks out of it as the dirt in the pot gets dry. They work really well.
