okay so I've read lots of the teen fantasy books at my library and I want more!
the typical kind I like is main characters either a boy, or a boy and a girl.
i like the sort of book where chraracter(s) go up against impossible odds and win and get the girl. I know its stereotypical of fantasy but I'm a sucker for it.
some of what I'm looking for to give you and idea are books like:
the belgariad series
the mallorean series
keys to the kingdom
birdwing
the iron ring
the bartimaues trilogy
wereling trilogy
dune series
HP books
the strongbow saga
rangers apprentice series
wabi
dusk
books like that. so if you could give me a big long list, I would really appreciate it!
thanks so much! -Daniel

The Homeward Bounders by Diana Wynne Jones
Science fiction book about a boy who is forced to travel between worlds searching for his home world.
The Dalemark Quartet- Diana Wynne Jones
Not all of these are with male narrators, but two of them are. If you read these, make sure that you have 4 after 3, because "spellcoats" ends on a cliffhanger, and "Crown" will tell you what happened in the end.
1. Cart and Cwidder,
2. Drowned Ammet,
3. the Spellcoats,
4. The Crown of Dalemark
The Pendragon Chronicles by D.J. MacHale
1. The Merchant of Death
2. The Lost City of Faar
3. The Never War
4. The Reality Bug
5. Black Water
6. The Quillan Games
7. The River of Zadaa
These aren't the whole series, because they're not finished being written. Each world has a "traveler" who must keep the worlds safe as evil rises up to destroy them.
The Green and the Gray- Timothy Zahn
Two different factions of mythical creatures living in New York City on the brink of war- and two normal people are thrust right into the middle of it, and it is up to them to save civilization as we know it.
The Dragonback series- Timothy Zahn
Science-fiction really, about a dragon who has to become two dimensional to survive, and his protector, a teen boy who starts out as nothing but a thief.
1. Dragon and Thief
2. Dragon and Soldier
3. Dragon and Slave
4. Dragon and Herdsman
5. Dragon and Judge
These are also not complete as far as I know. I have not read the 5th one yet.

I don't about the "getting the girl" part but relationships DO take place within time of this series called "Diadem: Worlds of Magic". It's a really great series by John Peel. I'm 24 and I still enjoy it. There are currently 10 books in the series. He made 6 and then continued the series like five years later and has made 4 more recently. Not sure if the 11th is out. They're short books (not as long as Harry Potter) but I think they are fun and have an interesting story to them.

Some series that you might like:
Assassins and Liveship Traders by Hobbs.
Black Magician by Canavan.
Earthsea by Leguin
Assassins of Tamurin by Tower (a novel, not a series)
His Dark Materials by Pullman
Wheel of Time by Jordan (too long, but good)
Farsala trilogy by Bell
Last Herald mage by Lackey
Nightrunner by Flewelling (These two are gay series - the hero gets the boy - but otherwise pretty traditional fantasies)
Some very good Science Fiction series that you would likely enjoy:
Miles Vorkosigan by Bujold
Ender by Orson Scott Card
Slan by Van Vogt (a stand alone novel)

I have never understood why people have to categorize books by who is supposed to read them. Teen books, adult fiction, doggerel. Just read books that appeal to you. If you go to the book store and look at books in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy section and write down titles and authors for the books that appeal to you, when you go to the library you can read those books for free and never have to tell anyone that they were adult fantasy, because all fantasy was written for all ages anyway. Enjoy, there are thousands of books out there where the guy gets the girl or vice versa that you can enjoy. Try reading Dennis L. McKiernan's new series, they are about the seasons of the year and they are about the guy getting the girl or the girl getting the guy and are pretty good reads too.

well, Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse (which is coming out tomorrow!!!!) are REALLY REALLY good, but it is a girl narrating. But, the guy gets the girl. Definitely. At least at the end of New Moon. (sadly, for me, since I love Jacob, but maybe in Eclipse...!! sorry. You'll get why I like him and not Edward in New Moon. It's the other way around when I read Twilight.) Okay, sorry.
Scott Westerfeld's books are really good, too, like the trilogy: Uglies, Pretties, Specials. Again, a girl main character, but it's third person, and there ARE boys in it...his book So Yesterday has a boy main character. That was a good one too.

The power of five series, by Anthony Horowitz ( the Author of Alex Rider).
The series is a modern day fantasy, the only downfall is that only 3 of the 5 books have been released.

The wheel of time series by Robert Jordan This is a longer and harder read series but it is awesome.
Eragon and Eldest by Christopher Paolini (if you like dragons these books are good)
Timeline by Michael Crichton (actually you may like many of his books: Prey, Sphere, Jurrasic Park)
