A black mom in Washington DC fought to get black kids into decent school?
She forced Top Democrats KENNEDY, Durbin and Landrieu to confront their racism they showed by being against black kids.
She took out national ads.
ON TV she compared Kennedy to Bull Connor --- the police chief who sent dogs after Martin Luther King, Jr.
She compared Durbin to George Wallace.
She published a full page ads that stated the refusal by Dem Senators to let black kids go to the same school as their white kid.

Because the Democrats support the teachers' unions, rather than students. The teachers' unions provide a lot of money and votes to the Democrats, and there aren't enough people who oppose the Democrats because of it.

OK... you provide ONE EXAMPLE... and you completely ignore the nonsense and the LIE of the "No Child Left Behind" Act, and the so-called "Texas Miracle" that NEVER WAS. The Democrats are on the side of the minorities and the poor - just because one woman says otherwise doesn't mean I buy it. This webpage link also says that it is from the Wall Street Journal - not exactly a non-opinionated paper, especially now that Rupert Murdoch owns it. You can put anything you want on a web page, but that doesn't mean its true. The "Heaven's Gate" cult had a web page too - remember? They sure weren't right!

This mom was fighting for equal education for the poor and the privileged, through the use of vouchers. In America, this should not be that your children have to go to a private school to get a decent education. In America it should not be that if you are not privileged you can not get a decent education. I say Right On mom, right on!!!!

Don't know the facts. Do know that racism is still an ugly issue that needs to be dealt with. Everyone is NOT racists. However, it only takes a few idiots to turn people against one another.
