The consensus I get from women's responses here -- in general -- is that it is understandable and at least somewhat acceptable for a woman to cheat on her husband or boyfriend. Baring open relationships, it is NOT all right for men to cheat. Am I close? I don't really consider 'cheating' an offense on the part of either one, is they are mature, but the consensus here is that it is more all right for women than men. Right?

I guess when a woman cheats it means that she must be having major problems with her marriage. When a man cheats, people just think it's because he is a horny pervert. This is not what I think personally, but I think it is the public image.

Nope not even close...obviously you haven't read EVERYTHING ALL the women think about cheating/male OR female. It IS an offense because there is that marraige contract and just like in a business if you breach a contract there are consequences to be paid, whether you are a man or a woman. Besides, if there are children involved those consequences visit themselves upon the children as well. There is nothing better for a kid than to have his peers whisper behind his back about one of his parents phucking around.

Since when is it socially acceptable for a woman to cheat in any relationship??! No, it's not okay for a woman to cheat. If you really loved your woman, the thought of "sharing" her with someone else would make you go mad. You must not really love her to put up with nonsense like that. Dump her fast and find a woman who is faithful and loyal. They are out there, just stop settling for loose women that have no values and nor do they have any self respect. *Sheesh, I thought men had more logic and sensibility than that!*

Cheating is not right, for either men or women. If you want to live the life of a single person, you should not be married or in a committed relationship.

no all cheating no matter who did it male or female is wrong and cowardly. Anyone who cheats in my book doesn't really understand what a true relationship is all about anyways. Women are just as wrong for cheating as men are. There are no rights when cheating is involved

No. Its not alright to cheat period. If you're with someone, you are with THEM and ONLY them. If you're gonna "go out" on your girl/boyfriend like that you might as well just be single and play the field until you are mature enough to start making a commitment. That goes for both men and women.

Nope not at all. I don't think it's ever ok for anyone to cheat. I do however understand the desire to in terms of when a man says his wife hasn't had sex with him in 5 yrs. I still don't think it's ok but I have a much harder time passing judgement. I still feel that if you don't want to be committed and faithful to your spouse then you should leave them. Then you can have multiple partners and they can have a committed relationship with someone who wants that. I am against many things but I completely understand that not everyone shares my views

Straight and to the point. If i was in a one and one relationship and i found out that she cheated on me. She would be out of my life in a heart beat. I do not think a person should put up with that.
