Petfinder is a good website. Although I would research the new home thouroughly! I wouldnt ask for a price, just a donation for all of the shots, toys, food etc, and donate it to a shelter. Cause when you ask for a donation at least the money is going towards other pets that need homes. I am a director of a not for profit shelter and trust me...the better homes are the ones that dont mind a donation and if you ask questions like What type of food would you feed? How many times do you typically take your pet to the vet? etc...But also go with your gut...if the person wants the pet just because he/she is "cute"...make sure you see a "connection" between the new potential owner. Many people jump into getting new pets without thinking about the needs of the pet in the future and they start to get sick of them...good luck!

Your local paper & Craigslist (an online site). Those are the places you would get the most response.

If you live on a busy street, make a sign and put it out when you're at home and willing to have people pull in and ask. Thats what we did when we had free kittens and it worked like a charm =)

Make flyers and put them up with a pic in your local Big R, Country General (farm stores) and at your vets office.

www.petfinder.org
Don't sell them - adopt them out. When someone wants to have them, ask for the name of their vet, and call the vet to make sure that their other animals went to the vet every year, and that their dogs were on heartworm preventative. Ask for an "adoption fee" of at least $50. If they can't afford $50, they can't afford a pet. If they rent, be sure to call their landlord to make sure they are allowed to have that type of pet. Your animals are already going to be traumatized by going to one new home - do everything you can to make sure this is going to be their forever family. Do this last thing for your pets.

You should try the nearest animal shelter. I wanted to get rid of my chinchilla and I went on map quest.com and searched the nearest animal shelter. So try that and if that doesn't work try putting flyer's around your neighborhood that could work.
