How do you feel about a first women president? I think Hilary is a very smart women and a lot on the ball. I just hope she follows through what she promises. education for one. Others have not.I work with young people out of high school & it saddens me some can't even count change or read instruction & follow them. Our country needs a STRONG leader for education.

I don't say teachers should raise our children, but, the government makes it hard for a one family pay check to survive and mom's can't stay home with their kids . the kids today are latch key the kids get NO family time with parents & everything is going by the way side.Look at the other countries they don't have kids sitting in foster homes & parent going to court because you left for work thinking your child got on the bus. I just say it's sad the way things are going & who is going to fix it,do you think the government cares?

tedex,i think why no child left behind doesn't(don't) work it's just to push a child through school they learn very little.teacher can't be bothered they are there just to collect a pay if it worked more kids would be out of special ed classes there is no one on one. there are a lot of kids that are ADD,ADHD & slow learners that can learn but no one to teach them it's just easier to call the parent & say "we need to have a confrence" or you child needs more help than i can give.I've heard it all from a lot of parents that do care & their child does not get the help they need. So what are we paying for?

The only thing that's going to help our public schools is to take them out of the hands of the government and turn them over to private industry. We could do that by utilizing the same tax dollars that we're spending today and get more for our money.
The second thing would be to make the parents responsible and accountable for their own children. Our schools, computers and TV sets are now the babysitters as parents take less and less responsibility for the upbringing of their own children. They tend to blame everything except themselves. The fact that there is such a major breakdown of family unity is also a major factor.
As long as the government continues to run the Dept. of Education, you'll continue to see the same thing. We're on a downhill spiral and it won't get any better.

I'm not opposed to a woman as President, just opposed to this woman as President. She has NO personal experience to lead at this level, she doesn't even know what she believes in until the polls come out.
Parents are the first source of childhood education, not the Government or the school system, and until each of us realizes our role in that, the children of this Country will continue on the downward spiral of mediocre (at best) educations.

Not that Socialist queen! I agree with those who say education should be privatized. Have you not noticed the more government gets into our lives the more messed up it gets? We need strong parents to guide and also teach their children. It is not the governments job to raise your kids.

In my opinion, she is way too liberal. She wants socialized medicine and re-distribution of wealth. She also flip flops on her stand on the war, and seems very dependent on what the polls say.
I do agree that we need a strong leader for education, though. And I would love to see the right female as President.

She'd be mediocre at best. But it probably won't hurt having Bill as the First Man and adviser.
I'm not going to vote for her in any event. I think she's a career politician who'll undoubtedly bring more taxes, grant amnesty to tens of millions, and attempt to socialize health care. She panders too much and flip-flops even more. A typical politician. We need a change.

Her gender should not be an issue. On the Democratic side she has the most experience, except for perhaps Joe Biden. The question should be whether she is the best for the job.
Same for Biden or Obama, as well. Surely we are mature enough as a society to ignore the prejudices of our smaller minded forebears.

Hillary and socialists like her are what is bringing this country down. When you have a democratic society that realizes it can vote itself all the benefits in the world then you will soon have a broke society.
Federal gvt has no business in education.
If by some horrible miracle Hilary gets elected then I hope she doesnt follow thru with anything she promises.

I don't see how she'd make a good MEN president.
(You did use the plural form of the female gender - just keeping it in parallel here.)

One thing about us women we will stand up to anyone big or small we are not afraid to tell you what we think and we are not afraid to act on it.As for education we women are more interested in our children's welfare and we are more inclined to do something about it.That's why if Hillary does become our president she will show you man that her balls are bigger then anyone running.
