Because say someone wants to have unprotected sex, would Emergency Contraception be more effective within 5 days AFTER the sex, or maybe a day or two BEFORE?

It's not really plan B if you take it before sex, now is it? Anyway, if you know you're going to have sex, why not just take normal birth control pills - which are easier on your system than the Plan B giant hormone surge.

It is Emergency Contraception. You do get that, right? It's intended to be used when the condom breaks or whatever. If you know you are going to have sex, use a condom and get on the pill. DON'T HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO HAVE CHILDREN! Do I need to shout this any louder?

just like abortion isnt
its for women who are using protection and something happens.. use condoms. take the pill, or better yet dont have sex...
but to answer your ?.... no!!! its best if taken w/ in 72 hrs after unprotected sex

That is not how it works. It is not a form of birth control. The purpose of the plan B are if you get raped, or you have an accident like the condom breaking. Not stupid people who want to have sex without a condom.

I am assuming Plan B is like the morning after pill, in which case, no as like itsd name suggests, it is designed to be taken within 72 hours after intercourse. However I am not totally sure if Plan B is the same as our Morning After pill, so I could in fact be wrong.

No. It doesn't work like that.
If you are going to have unprotected sex, then get on the pill. It's as easy as that. If you're old enough to have sex, then you're old enough to take responsibility.
Plan B isn't effective like that.

That's good question......i think regular birth control is before and plan b is taken after. jus in case. but real good question.
