If you appearing in front of a Judge then it's best to play the part of a grown, respectable citizen, not some young teen punk, so wear some nice pants, not jeans, with closed - toe sandals,or any kind of flat shoes, tennis shoes would be a no-go, unless they were all one color, you don't like dress shoes,so you could probably get away with some all black sneakers. Don't wear all black, it's depressing. Pair some nice gray or white pants with a nice crisp, white blouse, or button-up polo shirt, and some black tennis shoes, If you're on jury duty, then what you wear is your choice, but it has to appropiate for a court environment.

You don't have to dress like you're going to a wedding, but you should attempt to dress nicely in order to make a good impression. I would not wear sneakers, I would wear dress shoes or nice sandals, with dress pants and a nice top. No low-cut tops or outfits that leave your midriff exposed. Good luck.

All black is fine, but I don't think I would do the sneakers...I know dress shoes are uncomfortable, but court (hopefully) won't be that long so you wouldn't have to endure the uncomfortableness for a long time. Good luck in court.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT wear any kind of sneakers to court, black or not!
Wear a black or charcoal gray pantsuit with a bright color (orange, turquoise, pink, etc. etc.) shirt or camisole underneath. See below for the shoes.
If you absolutely hate dress shoes, wear a pair of black ballet flats. Nice and cute and can pass as dress shoes, but they don't have to be thought of as dress shoes. : )

You want to dress to impress, so dress as if you were going to an interview. Try a pantsuit or, if you prefer, a nice skirt and shirt. I don't really think sneakers would be appropriate, but if you want to be comfortable, try some ballet flats. They're comfortable and they don't pinch like dress shoes would.

dress up. Wear clothes that you would wear to church like skirts, blouses, suit, and dress shoes. This is your one chance to impress the judge. Sneakers can go back on the minute you leave.

No sneakers ,I would wear:
A black/gray/brown pencil skirt up to your knees or nice dress pants.
White dress blouse or a=other color like,tan/grey/brown/black.
If you don't want to wear dress shoes ,you can wear ballet flats, wedges, pumps or other sandals.
Or a nice wrap dress,a decent length.(about knees)

a skirt suit (if you are female) and if you hate heels, wear flats. dont wear sneakers especially if you are a lawyer or the defendant or prosecutor.
if you get a black suit, wear pink or red top underneath and/or
wear a pink or red shoe.
or if you want to look very professional, wear a pant suit with a pin stripe.
good luck
