I assume the entire thing is divided:

(2x^2y - 6xy^2 + 12xy) / 2xy

All three of the terms in the numerator divides by 2xy evenly:

2x^2y / 2xy = x(2xy)/2xy = x
-6xy^2 / 2xy = -3y(2xy)/2xy = -3y
12xy / 2xy = 6(2xy)/2xy = 6

So the answer is

x - 3y + 6

2x²y-6xy²+12xy / 2xy

= 2x²y/(2xy) - 6xy²/(2xy) + 12xy/(2xy)

= x - 3y + 6

(2X²Y - 6XY² +12XY) / (2XY)
separate into 3 fractions
2X²Y/(2XY) - 6XY²/(2XY) + 12XY/(2XY)
gives, term by term
X - 3Y + 6

2x^2 y-6x y^2+12xy/2xy
=(2x^2 y/2xy)-(6x y^2/2xy)+(12xy/2xy)
=x-3y+6 ans

Factor 2xy from the numerator.

2xy(x-3y+6) / 2xy

2xy cancel out

x - 3y + 6
