my boyfriend and i were arguing and he pushed me back and (it's hard to describe) kneeled (knelt?!) on my body, so his knees were a bit lower than my collarbone. I heard a crack which is understandable as his whole body weight was on me, and the next day a lump came up which was sooo painful, I couldn't lift my arm or anything and it went through to my back. 3 weeks later its a bit better but still very sore and the lump is still there. Does this sound like a broken rib?

The women with abusive men all "love" them and most leave them and go back, over and over. I suppose it was all your fault for not loving him enough to do just what he wanted, wasn't it?

Hint, he has just what he wants, a victim. I hope you wake up before you don't wake up some morning.

Go to the hospital and tell them exactly what happened. And I'll bet anyone checking this post that she won't do it. Why? Because dying is easier than admitting she made a mistake.

My daughter survived, somehow. Not all do.

This time it's a shove and a knee in the ribs. The next time it will be worse. By staying with him, you're giving him permission to be violent with you. You don't have to come right out and say, hey baby, if I piss you off, you can knock the crap out of me. You're saying it with your actions. If he hasn't already destroyed your self-esteem, he will.

Your rib may be fractured or it may just be bruised. Either way, very painful. It could take as long as 6-8 weeks to heal.

Broken rib and/or torn cartilage. Now a lump as your body is trying to calcify the fracture.

Next time could be worse. Get away from him!

i think its broken. try getting cotton and make a dry pan warm on the stove and lightly press the cotton on the lump. this may help.

Why are you still with him. Next time he may kill you. Report it to the police and break up with him.

You may very well have a broken rib.

Sounds like he could have internal bleeding if he is coughing up blood. He definitely needs to go to the emergency department right away!!!!!
