It's a ripoff... starlit_eclipse already gave you some great links, use them and do not bother going to their scam audition which is really a guise for their hard sell to get you to take their classes.

No, don't go.
I, personally, suggest that you checks out models.com, a website that is,also, recommended by Tyra Banks.
From a Models.com posting: Discussion Topic: "Barbizon School, Pro Model, Help!"
"So, if you like paying lots of money to sleezy "modeling companies," and receiving nothing in return, this is the place for you!
May I suggest, if you're truely interested in modeling, to submit your photos and information to some of the agencies listed on this web-site. These are top modeling agencies and they are legitimate."
From ripoffreport.com:
"Pro Model and Talent, International Talent and Barbizon School of Akron in the Fairlawn area work hard to rip off women and some men. "
"Barbizon is not picky, they take people HOURLY, look-alikes, dress alikes, not alike, doesn't matter, just make sure you have your SIX HUNDRED DOLLAR non-refundable deposit. They most certainly 'turn' people away at a group meeting to give the appearance that they are selective, but those people are later invited back to a class a different day and time than yours, just bring your CHECKBOOK! Did I mention they take checks?"
Barbizon is a large national school and they are ripping people off everywhere. They expand on YOUR money and YOUR hope everytime they give you your '3 jobs a year' assignment where THEY profit in the end.
Do not fall for it."

Barbizon is one of the biggest ripoffs in the industry. If you go they will call you over and over trying to sell you on their modeling "school." If you look like a model you can be one. If you don't you can't. Simple as that. There is no training for it. Don't go. And to the other posters, IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT DON'T ANSWER. YOU'RE NOT HELPING ANYONE!

Barbizon will charge you thousands of dollars, pretending to teach you how to model.
If you can walk, you don't need anyone to teach you how to model.
Barbizon will not do anything to help you.
The professional modeling agencies are located in NYC.

i went to barbizon modeling school about 5 years ago. i learned a lot there such as how to apply makeup, walk on the runway, manners, etc. it gave me a lot of confidence as a young teenager but it is NOT worth the 3 thousand dollars. basically it's a scam. you go NOWHERE after they have your money.

I'm not familiar with them, but it sounds a little fishy to me. Most legit agencies don't have to set up kiosks in the mall.
Plus any legit agency doesn't push their own photographers, make-up artists or classes. Any 'agent' who wants you to take their classes or use their photographers and pay for it all is a skam. Stay far away. They're trying to take young, aspiring actors and models for a ride.
Again, I don't know them but if it were me I'd stay away.

Well as long as the audition is FREE then I could personal go, until they ask for your money... then I would have to go with your gut. Your Gut and mind are the most powerful thing!

It doesn't cost anything to listen.
The school, however does cost, so unless you are really
interested in modeling don't go to the school.
