Yes I have smoked for 11 years (age 12-23) and quit it has been 5 years since my last cigarette and I don't plan on smoking again. It is a bad habit cost to much to smoke. Why pay so much for
cigarettes when all they do is possibly cause cancer and make you smell bad.

The reason I quit was because I always quit when I was pregnant but when I had my third child I couldn't go back to smoking even if I wanted to because she was highly allergic to the smoke . She would have a hard time breathing even if she was around people who just had the smoke smell on their clothes. I am so glad I never went back to smoking.

I used to smoke, about 22 years ago. I smoked for 4 years. The second hand smoke was causing my baby to have ear infections so I quit. That was the hardest thing I ever did, quiting smoking. Don't EVER start smoking!!!

Yes, I am a smoker.
Wow, it feels like a burden has been lifted from shoulders. I know its wrong and its killing me, so it makes me feel guilty. Yet just that taste, that affirmation of less stress with a single puff.
Boy. I quench for its cancerous exhaust even now.
Why?
I am an addict. I work 9hr days, come home to a 3 bedroom apartment that I share with my brother and mother. It lacks A.C. And the days this summer have all been above 90 degrees, or least it seems.
Barely have enough money to pay rent, let lone have food in the frig. Look at my self in the mirror in disgust, and with that single puff, it all starts to fade away.
I wish I could quite, but then I would live in more misery then I am in. Maybe when I have less worries, more money and even a life, I will give up that friendship that I have with cancer sticks.

I smoked for about 25 years - one of the best things I've ever done is quit that dirty habit.

NO!!! Most people think it's cool (like my jackass brother) but I look at my parents who have smoked for almost 40 years (quit a few years ago) and they can't walk up and down the steps without using their inhalers. My brothers only 25 and he sounds like he's gunna cough up a lung. Plus I can't stand that smell.

I don't smoke...I think I smoked a pack once and was desperately sick. Green is just not a good color for my face.
