I know a lot of them have human donors but does animal blood quench thier thirst too?

Technically speaking, yes, a vampire would be able to get sustenance from any animal's blood. The only true vampires, however, are bats that are common in South America. Though not immortal as the infamous Count, these bats do suck bloos, primarily form cattle.

A vampire is already dead and the dead can not draw substance for the food or the blood.. It is the demons that is animating that dead body that what is really feeding off of blood that is taken in....................................................................
