How can i get my money or is it impossible to receive it now?
I recently just worked for a big company where instead of paychecks you get your money through direct deposit. well anyways like a week before i quit i closed my savings account which was the account that the company put my checks into and just made a checking account and i never had told the company that i had closed the savings nor gave them the checking . dumb but i forgot. well now 2 days passed since they sent the check to my savings and well its closed so technically i have money just floating around i guess cuz they sent me the check stub iiin mail just like they always do.
how can i get my money? or is it impossible to cuz the company already sent the money to get direct deposited.
thanks.

What has happened is your company was alerted that the electronic funds transfer to your account failed.

Get with Payroll and explain the situation. Sometimes they can resolve the problem in a few minutes, sometimes they need to reissue the payment to another account next pay cycle.

Have a day!

Was it with the same bank? If so call the bank and have the transfer funds, they will be able to see the transaction of the credit from the DD.

If not call the payroll dept of your ex employer and have them stop payment and reissue money. That will take a few days but it is the only thing you can do.

Not at all. You can call the payroll department and ask them to check into the status of this direct deposit. If they can discover where it is located, you can retrieve it. If the funds were never taken from their payroll account, they can simply cut you a standard payroll check for what is owed to you.

if your acct closed, the money would bounce back to your employer - call them and have them send a replacement check - even with direct deposit - they should be giving you a stub every payday that shows all your hrs, earnings and deductions. That's a law
