First I would start with the great gals on all the yahoo groups under sewing or alterations. We share stuff all the time and sell items we don't use to each other at reasonable rates all the time. The you have the Garage Sale Yahoo groups and the Exchange Groups through Yahoo where you get stuff really cheap or trade it for something you have or you might even get it free. So stay with Yahoo groups and search through the groups for the ones who best suit your needs.
2nd is Ebay, Yahoo and other online auction sites.
3rd-You can also look at local yard, church and garage sales, these places are sometimes have a gold mine of oddities for sale.
4th - Then last, but not least, travel to the local thrift stores and second hand shops. I use these last, as I have to burn up my gas to get there and I would rather use my computer.
OOPS 2 more for you
5th- But with Halloween coming up, if you can wait that long, wait until the blow-up costumes are out and grab up the pretty little maid one and use her, heck they only go for about $25.00 and on sale for 18.99 at places like KMart or Wallie World, Toys R US. You can add air or let some out....
6th and the BEST---If you get really, really desperate and you have a crazy friend like me, ask her (or him) to let you do a paper mache of their body and use that. (Hey that sounds like the most fun!!) You can make really beautiful body forms this way, with different papers and by painting them.... Cut down both sides, this way you can slide it, to make it bigger or smaller.
What ever you do , don't get discouraged, make it a real "hunt" to find something.
Best wishes....

You could try Ebay and see if they have any used ones, but I buy mine from http://store.atlantathread.com/ they seem to have the most reasonable prices.
