Hire a licensed inspector!

One could write a book on housing inspection. In fact a number of them have been written on just that subject. As such, that would be WAY outside the scope of this forum.

Unless you're licensed, you wont' know all of what to look for or how to diagnose. Hire one - price could be $275-$350 depending on the square footage of the house.
