DailyKos traffics in HATE -pure and simple. The democratic presidential candidates, once again, reveal to us who they really are: A bunch of leftwing communists haters. They refuse to come before the moderates in their party by avoiding the Democratic Leadership Council's convention. Liberalism is a terminal cancer; the democratic party is infected in a big way. Hey all you moderate dems, do you STILL feel you have a seat at the table in your party?

update: The media white washes who these people are and what dailykos represents, while simultaneously trashing Bill O'Reilly for uncovering the hatred that is Dailykos. Fair?

Charity G : The republican party is pro-life. It is in the party platform and most of its members agree with that stand. Much of what the extreme left of the democratic party adheres to, is not represented by the majority of the party. Or maybe the democratic party IS the party of extreme liberal ideology now. The actions of its leaders say that this is more and more the case.

The issues carried by the Democratic Leadership Council could have prevented many to attend its convention.

Actually, the reason for avoiding the DLC convention has to do with the primary fight in Connecticut last year. The DLC went out on a limb trying to protect Senator Lieberman. Given the role played by the more liberal wing of the party in that primary and some of the actions of Senator Lieberman over the past twelve months, the candidates have decided that they need the support of Daily Kos and Move On more than they need the support of the DLC to win the primary.

I personally think it is a dumb move, but moderates tend not to vote heavily in primaries (in both parties). Winning a primary comes down to the activists who tend to be on the far right and far left of the two parties.

How many times does either party have to explain it . . . the primary race is about appealing to those who are most likely to vote in the primary (i.e. the most extreme of either party). The Presidential election is about trying to appeal to the most moderate base of your party. How many times has the Republican party dropped the Right to Lifers over the years . . .
