i am undecided, as yet. it is over a year before the election and so many things can happen to change things. how i vote will depend on current events and who i feel will best represent my moral and ethical viewpoints. all the candidates will go up and down in the polls til then, not that i let the polls influence me as they are really no valid indication of the real tenor of the majority of voters, it depends on what is asked how it is asked and where it is asked more than an accurate accounting of voter's preferences.

The people at the controls right now are ideologues, and if they have their way we will end up with some kind of unholy alliance of big business and Christian conservatism. Military-industrial theocracy isn't something I would like to live under. I used to vote Republican. I won't anymore. I didn't leave the GOP; they left me. But the Dems aren't much better. A viable Independent Party might be the answer, but the pols on both sides of the aisle will do their level best to stop that from happening, because it threatens their grip on power. The damage Bush has done will take generations to correct.

I won't actually answer the question you asked. I WILL point out that the offices of President and Vice-President are the ONLY nationally elected offices in the US. Senators are elected by individual states. Members of the House of Representatives are elected by only part of a state if that state has more than one Representative. Therefore, the are not national elections (plural). There is A national election (singular) every 4 years. The Congressional mid term elections are actually 50 INDEPENDENT state elections.

First of all I used to be a democrat until 2006, when they completely failed us. After careful research the canidate I would chose to vote for is Ron Paul. He wants lower taxes for the middle class and poor, wants to end the war in Iraq immediatly and bring home our troops safe and sound, he voted agianst the patriot act, he wants to negioate and trade with other countries instead of fighting useless wars where innocent people die, he voted against the constitutional amendment banning gay marriges so he believes in basic civil rights.. he has a well thought out plan to reduce this countries debt and restore the democracy we once had.. I can't think of any reason I wouldn't vote for him. He's a republican but I agree with where he stands on the issues.. thats whats important not what his race, gender, religon or political party is, but what he can do for this country, myself, and my family... He's the only canidate I trust.. Just by looking at his track record he has kept his word and I believe he will make an excellent president

I usually vote for a person because they share the same idea's, concerns, and view points that I do. I'm for the single family environment [i.e.-one woman+one man]. I'm PRO-life. etc...
Therefor that's usually a republican, but now I'm seeing a few democrats that are more for what I am for... We'll see.

I will vote Republican if and only if the nominee denounces the terrible management, deficit budget, cronyism, war without possibility of successful end, intrusion of federal government into states authority, intrusion of federal government into personal decisions, and failure to hold polluters responsible for the cost of their production that has been the mark of the Bush administration.
When some party stands for individual freedom, minimal government footprint, true free and competitive markets, and good management, I will support that party. Until then, I will have to vote Democrat.

Republican. Simply put I cannot vote for a party that supports taking from me and my family and giving to somebody else while at the same time raising my taxes.
Oh yah and then their is that little we are murdering and killing children in Iraq and our soldiers are butchers. Can't vote for a party that stands for any of that.

I'm voting for Barrack Obama. I simply agree with all his platforms. I wish he was more of an enviromentalist, but he's the most enviromental canidate there is so i'll just have to settle for him.
