The boston Bruins have a long history of trades.
Best trade: On May 15, 1967, the Bruins acquired Phil Esposito, Fred Stanfield and Ken Hodge from Chicago for Pit Martin, Gilles Marotte and Jack Norris. This trade affected the balance of the league for the next 10 years. Also, the trade the Bruins made with Vancouver on June 6, 1986, acquiring Cam Neely and a first-round draft pick that they parleyed into Glen Wesley, for Barry Pederson, ranks among the most lopsided NHL trades ever.
Worst trade: When they traded Bill Ranford and Geoff Courtnall to Edmonton in March 1988 for Andy Moog, they inadvertently provided the Oilers with the goaltender that would stone them in the 1990 final.

MN WILD!!
Best trade: Getting Pavel Demitra for Patrick O'Sullivan and a draft pick. (Thus unifying the Slovakian Rocket with his countryman and linemate). This is great now but could come back to haunt us.
Runner-up: Getting rid of that worthless Pascal Dupuis for Adam Hall. New York then realized how worthless he was and traded him to Atlanta after only 6 games.
Worst trade: Not too many yet but maybe losing roloson. Although if Patrick O'Sullivan develops into to anything spectacular the best may in time become the worst.

Being a Habs fan the worst trade in our team history was the dubbed "Le Trade" between Montreal & Colorado.
To Colorado:
Patrick Roy
Mike Keane
To Montreal:
Jocelyn Thibault
Martin Rucinsky
Andrei Kovalenko
The Avalanche went on to win the Stanley that year adding the missing component for the awesome team they had (I doubt they would have won it with Stephan Fiset) and again in 2001. The habs haven't made it passed the second round of the play-offs since the trade which many of us in the city call "The Curse of St. Patrick"

I'm a Vancouver Canucks fan!
The best: Trading scumbag Todd Bertuzzi to the Florida Panthers for Roberto Luongo. Instant bad trade for the Cats (and reinforcing the fact that hockey doesn't belong in Florida).
Runner up: Trading the great Pavel Bure to the Florida Panthers along with Bret Hedican, Brad Ference and Vancouver's 2000 3rd round draft choice, to the Florida Panthers in exchange for Ed Jovanovski, Dave Gagner, Mike Brown, Kevin Weekes and Florida's 2000 1st round draft choice. Bure was almost finished as a front line player (back to back 50 goal seasons aside), but we got Jovo!
Runner up #2: Trading Trevor Linden to the Islanders for Bryan McCabe and Todd Bertuzzi. Without McCabe, we wouldn't have been able to get the draft pick that became one of the Sedin twins.
The worst: Trading Cam Neely to the Bruins for Barry Pederson. Why??????

Worst Leafs trade. Bernie Parent for Doug Favell
Close second Gary Unger, Frank Mahovlich and Pete Stemkowski for Paul Henderson, Norm Ullman and Floyd Smith.
Other good one Lanny MacDonald for Wilf Paiement.
Have yet to see the Leafs come out on the right end of a trade.

My team: Detroit Red Wings
Best trade: $1 for Kris Draper with the Winnipeg Jets
Worst trade: Tim Cheveldae and Dallas Drake for Bob Essensa and Sergei Bautin with the Winnipeg Jets. Essensa was horrid and Bautin played only 1 game in Detroit.
ss98: They had to trade Roy. They made a horrible move keeping him in against the Wings when they beat him 11-1. He refused to play for them after that game. It was actually a trade caused by one of the worst moves in Habs history, one that might cause them to lose for a long time.

The best trade the Rangers made would have to be Tony Amonte for Stephane Matteau. Though Amonte had a great career, Matteau single-handedly won the Conference championship in 94.
The worst trade they made: Rem Murray, Tomas Kloucek, and Marek Zidlicky for Mike Dunham.

Bob has the worst Flyers trade down. Trading Lindros straight up for Forsberg would have been a terrible deal.
(Btw, Is Bob Loblaw an Arrested Development/Scott Baio reference???? Blah Blah Blah!)
The best was Eric Desjardins, John LeClair & Gilbert Dionne for Mark Recchi.
Down the road, it may end up being the Peter Forsberg deal to Nashville. Essentially, it ended up being Forsberg & a 1st rounder for Scottie Upshall, Ryan Parent, Kimmo Timonen, Scott Hartnell & a 3rd rounder.
Edit: DLG is totally wrong. Forsberg was the Flyers 1st round pick (6th overall) in 1991. The 2 1st rounders the Flyers sent to the Nordiques turned out to be Jocelyn Thibault & Adam Deadmarsh.
