As the title says where can I go about obtaining one? I'm on my way to college, and I am allowed to have up to a 20 gallon fish tank. So I'm thinking about getting a 10 gallon tank and getting one (and only one) Axolotls, since it lives completely underwater and it's a bit on the exotic side. Just tell me where I could go about obtaining an Axolotls in Cincinnati.

You might be able to get a pet store to order one for you, but the best way will be to attend a reptile show. You will probably have more than one to choose from and you may even have more than one vendor to haggle with. This might allow you to pick the one you want and to get a better deal than if you had gone the pet store route.

A reptile show is the way to go. You've got one coming up (All Ohio Show) this weekend: http://www.kingsnake.com/ You might want to contact the event organizer to find out if they know if any vendors will have them before you make the trip, though.

There used to be a store in Portsmouth..Sorry, that's been 20 years, LOL. You'll probably be able to get one from the internet but be careful: Make sure it's a reputable dealer.
