Barangay Health centers in or near a city really serve their purpose. However, in the remote areas especially in the countryside, health centers are almost non-existent if not vacant. Medical persons and medicines are very scarce.

The poor who have nothing actually find the Barangay Health Centers as a meaningful service from government. Beggars can't be choosy.

The free drugs they're dispensing are of low quality. Trust me. If you can afford a private clinic, then do so.
