i dont send letters and packages through the mail ever, so i have a few questions about package mail, particularly usps.

1. do i need to buy a special box for it or can i use my own box?
2. do i need postage stamps?

If you are sending USPS you can take the package to the nearest branch or you can call for pick-up. You I don't think USPS has postage stamps. Go on-line to their web site. As far as a box, you can mail it in your own box.

No you can use your own box make it's is plain nothing printed on the box, or you will have to wrap it in brown paper. Yes you need postage stamps and if you go to the post office you pay them and they print out 1 stamp. Yes you need to go to the post office.

You can use your own box, as long as it's sturdy. Take it to the post office, they'll weigh it and tell you what it will cost. You pay them and they print a special stamp for that amount.
