Individuals with sinus headaches can use saline nasal drops about six times a day. Also trying to breathe warm moist air as much as possible will help.

Avoid smoking (direct or indirect), alcohol (causes swelling of nostrils), substances that causes allergies and pollution.

Washing hands frequently helps in avoiding colds and in case of persistent colds, it is essential to seek treatments before the onset of sinusitis.

Take an 8oz glass of warm water. Pour 1/4 teaspoon of salt into the water and still until it's disolved. Now, put some water into the back of your throat and blow it out your nose. I know it's nasty. I do it in the shower. It works, though.

Also, grapfruit seed extract (GSE) is an all-natural antibiotic. You can get it online or at a health food store. Put 20 drops into a glass of orange juice (it will taste a little bitter with a bad after-taste). It works for colds, flu, ear infections.... pretty much anything you might need antibiotics for. Best part? No side effects and you body does not build up a resistance to it. Now THAT is agood thing to keep around the house! Not that spices aren't great and everything.

When I have a stuffy nose, though, I just go out and eat sushi with lots of wasabi. Works like a charm! Wasabi will clear your sinus problem immeditely, lol.

Chew on the garlic, its a bit nauseating but it gets the job done. you need the purple garlic though, the white stuff is rubbish.

Also if you get some slippery elm and drink that every now and then it can help keep it away in the future.

I used to have frequent sinus problems, i did this two things every night for a few months and it all went away : )

Most sinus "infections" are actually from airborne fungus.
There is a product that you can get from drug stores called "Sinucleanse" It is wonderful. If the salt solution isn't completely getting rid of the problem, you need to get some "colloidal silver" from a health food store and put a half of a dropper into the water every time you cleanse your sinus'
It works great.

3 things: 1. Dissolve pinch of sea salt in 50ml of tepid water and inhale the water through one nostril and let it out through the other washing the gunge out. If you can't inhale, put the mixture with a dropper though one nostril, breathe deeply and as you exhale let the water come out through the other nostril.
2. With the pads of the fingers gently massage around the contours of the cheek bone & temples, pinch lightly the eyebrows with the thumb and index finger and gently vibrate them working from the centre outwards. Do this for about 5 minutes.
3. Educate yourself to breathe deeply and visualise clear sinus area as you inhale and feel all infection going out of the body as you exhale

Good Luck

Sinus infection...a cold that affects the nose! (I have infectious sinusitis as well as chronic bronchitis.) Doesn't matter the name, or just which "cold" you have: there is no cure. I like breathing steam from a kettle, using Vick's Vapor Rub at night (and blowing my nose a million times).
Careful with the spices: they can burn the mucuous membranes in the nose and sinuses.
