I have an 1 gig iPod nano first generation. I know that you can buy movies from iTunes, but can I actually put movies on my iPod? I wanted to buy Pirates 3, but I don't want to waste my money if it won't go on my iPod. . .

only video iPods can have movies put on them. If you bought it it would just go on your iTunes and you'd only be able to watch it on your computer

It prob. wont play.. but test your ipod by uploading a small video from UTube or any other free source. That will also get you ready for the REALLLLLLLY TINNNNNNY screen that makes it hardly worth while to try to watch a decent movie.
(Imagine when they zoom in to show the detail or the writing on that screen... or when they put footnotes on the bottom)
ipods are not that great for video..

no you cannot i have a 4 gig but they pretty much run the same i cannot even put radio on mine so i would not waste your money on buying videos unless you buy an iPod video.

I have one too and I havent found a way to save movies on there. In fact, I dont think you can. I would buy the DVD and then if you upgrade to the video iPod in the future, you can load it on there.

My Answer is 'NO, you cant'....
But It seems, that, some guys have already hacked the Ipod to play video on it...

I dont think you can put movies in a "NANO" unless the new ones have that..

as everyone else has said, no you can only put them on the video. but you can still buy them and watch them on the computer. might as well buy the dvd though

no, it wont go on your iPod unless you have a video, sorry.
