Why is that when I copy and paste the source (html codes) of a site (in this case, tsn.ca), save it as a file, and then open it in my web browser, it doesn't turn out right. Its just a white page that has none of the pictures on, the text isn't there, and its the wrong color. The only thing that comes up is all the links that were on that page.

You have to edit the source and get rid of the redundant stuff not usable to you and patch it into your code.

It's kinda unethical doing this but why re-invent the wheel.

But if you keep plegurizing other peoples work you won't learn anything.

I have over 1000 source codes I browse through for ideas.

Oh ! by the way make a copy of the original source, not that YOU would EVER make a mistake. Or me either.

Without looking at the page, there are many possibilities

* They used stylesheets, and you didn't save the stylesheet. Thus you lose all the layout

* Pictures don't show up because they used relative addressing, not absolute, and thus, no picture on your HD.

Those should cover most of what you saw (or did not saw).

You have only saved the code, not the colours or images.
Use IE to Save As etc...
