the DEBT internal and external combined it now exceeds 29 trillion that is more than 6 years out entire national output. To put it in perspective the equivalent of a man earning $25k a year (before taxes) owing $150k the interest on that debt at about 7% would be about $10k a year almost 50% of what he makes before the expenses he must incur just to survive, go to work and everything else in a man's life.

Distraction. As a people we've become so complacent, so apathetic, so easily bored that we allow ourselves to be constantly distracted by almost anything: Brittany Spears hairdo, homosexuality, terrorists, abortion, race, religion, oil...the list goes on and on. Meanwhile, the truly crucial issues: climate change, overpopulation, over-consumption of resources, pollution, greed and man's inhumanity to man are given only scant, sporadic attention. The U.S. is the world's last remaining super power. If any nation ever had the power to heal the world it's ours. I don't think we're doing it.

Our totally unsecured border with Mexico. We currently have NO clue who is coming across and/or for what reason. To suggest that all of them are just looking for 'a better life' is both naive and stupid.
Our political leaders are just looking for a new class of voters who are dependent on government so that they may remain in power.

Attitudes and righteousness that divides and separate us. We seem to have lost the ability to care for one another, and now only care about ourselves and what we think is right, then get upset if everybody else doesn't agree....we are floundering in our division..

#1 is illegal immigration. If were not being invaded by another nation and culture then what do you call it?
#2 is the war in iraq. We either need to sh*t or get off the pot. What I mean is, we either need to do what we need to do to win this war and just let the camel jockeys have the place.
