Kind of like the universe, isn't it? There just seems to be no end.
But seriously, with numbers, you just add on and on and on. There is nothing to stop it.

Because if there was a final number, anyone can add +1 to it and asks for a new number!
let us we said ok, 10,(billion of zeros) is final number. someone now converted that number into sand particles. another guy gave him an addition particle. now there is a need to create 10,billion zeros,1

Because numbers are the human terms for amounts of things in the physical universe. And because humans can imagine then whatever number of things there are in the physical universe we can always say-twice whatever that is, ten times whatever that is- etc. We can always add new terms to. Off course there is an absolute limit to even the human imagination. However virtually you can say that there is no limit or end to numbers. And there also is Eternity and Infinity.
Numbers can get pretty big. For instance by today's knowledge thereabouts it will be between One Hundred Billion(100,000,000,000) and One Hundred Trillion(100,000,000,000,000) years till the last star falls from the heavens(dies). There are, to today's knowledge thereabouts an average of One Hundred Billion(100,000,000,000) Galaxies in the known universe with an average of One Hundred Billion(100,000,000,000) stars in them. Which leaves Ten Sextillion(10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) stars in the universe. We have a system of numbers that go up from(each multiplied by one thousand
However, numbers go much much more. We have a Google which is a one followed by one hundred noughts. And we have a Googleplex. A one followed by a google number of noughts. Of the history of the universe we have time and deep time. In the maximum of 100 Trillion years-no stars. In 1 Quadrillion years-no planetary systems(all planets' orbits having worn away from their dead stars). In 10 Quadrillion years black holes will begin to take over. Nothing, not even light can escape from black holes, this is why they are black holes. However heat has a law. Heat goes from where it is to where it is not. Therefore heat can escape(abet very very slowely) from even black holes. Hence in about one Google year(one followed by 100 noughts) years the largest black holes will be evaporating. (that is: 10 to the 100th power) In ten to the 120th power years all black holes will have died. In about ten times that period there will exist a Deutronium sea throughout the universe. By 100 times that -atoms will be scattered throughout the universe, the universe will have expanded to many many times it's present size and atoms will be as big as galaxies. That is their sub atomic particles having the orbit from the nucleus the size of the cicumfrance of galaxies. And there is a thing called tunnelling. Where by a lighter atom by natural decay(as apart from star fusion) is supposed to be able to tunnel it's way to become a heavier element-say iron. This takes about about a one followed by ten to the hundred and twentieth power number of noughts-years. Which is:
120
10
10 years.
So you can see that numbers can be big and go for a long time. I suppose that they are limited only by our perception and imagination. Which althoug virtually can go on forever, must have some upper limit-somewhere. As we are finite and falible beings. There is a very very good reason why this is so. One, so we can assertain all that we will encounter and thus be prepared for it, and two, so we can develope and fulfill ourselves to the limit of our destiny as intelligent thinking beings. Basically so we can have the joy and the right to fulfill out destiny. Sure there is ultimately an end to numbers. Governed by the limits( however huge and far) of thought and the ultimate universal condition. As for them having no end-it only just seems that way. Hope this helps.

Take a piece of paper and write down every number in the universe...
go ahead I'll wait.
Okay, now that you have written every number in the universe, add one to it and what do you have?
Whoops! Start over... let me know when you have finished and we'll do it again.
g-day!

You seem like a blond preppy spaz who thinks that math is a waste of time. In the number system we use there is no end. If you keep putting zeros after a one the number keeps getting bigger. It's hard to explain, but that's just the way it is.
