I had the misfortune to meet a man who lived with his mother when he was 38. The article sounds about right.
We dated for 2 whole weeks before his mother decided I was a "harlot" and a "Jezebel". I was OK with "Jezebel "because I loved the Bette Davis film.
It ended when I was taking her precious son to Glastonbury. She threatened to take an overdose and I said "Do it"!
These children need to be pitied, not laughed at.
As the mother of a son I cannot understand why women want their boys with them at such a great age.
My boy is 25 and knows his mother has a life!

Just shows that you are never too old for a smacked botty if you have been naughty! Blimey, at 61, you would have thought the guy would show some respect to Mum!

That is going overboard. Her son is 61 a grown man. His mother shouldn't treat him like a child. That's the worst ever I have seem. I agree with you. What is the world coming to??????????

sounds like my ex's mother!!! We moved in together and she started being downright nasty to me (one of her stories that she told everybody was that I was pregnant and thats why he had to move in with me - definet lies!!), anyway he never ever told her that she shouldnt be talking this way about his girlfriend. The final straw was when he went to his cousins wedding without me being invited (we had LIVED together for 8 months by this point) and I asked why not and he told me that his extended family didnt even know I existed or that he had left home.
We dont talk anymore lololol

Ha hahaha, and I thought my mother was bad! She still tried to discipline me from Canada (i'm in scotland), even though I own a home, have worked and supported myself for years and am having my own child soon. Mothers, huh?LOL

OMG - the son is "61" -- he should be living on his own for one thing, but if he still does live home with "mom", yes she is being harsh.
