I came home to the sound of hot, loving relations going on down the hall. I'd figured something was up with the text messages, erased late-night calls, and the distant conversations, but never thought it'd come to this. I left rather than cause a problem, but they knew I'd come in.

I drove around for awhile, tried to clear my head. When I finally decided to come home, the cops were waiting on me, and I was being accused of domestic abuse. There was no evidence and I wasn't there when the police came, so they just made me leave. I drove around in a daze, and accidentally hit a possum. Rather than leave it, I tossed it in the back of the truck. I don't know, seemed the right thing to do.

Upon getting home today, I saw she'd cleaned out everything. Nothing was there but my propane grill, a few dishes, my dog, a camping chair, and my old TV.

So that's why I come to you. Anyone have any good possum recipes that I can cook up on the grill with a big metal pot and a spatula?

Joe you don't have to cook the possum on the stove you can in fact cook it under the hood of your car.
First you'll have to gut it and clean it of course and due to the nature of the procedure I'll let you figure out how to do that.
But after you gut it and clean it just wrap it up in foil with some butter and salt and pepper and place it over the engine, close the hood and drive around for a few hours.
While your driving around you can listen to the radio and take in the scenery and enjoy the smell of your freshly baking Possum.
Possum goes real good with fried taters so if you want put some cut up taters in some foil with oil salt and pepper and place it on your engine next to the Possum.
You can also do the same with corn on the cob.
This method of cooking is good for bachelors because it doesn't produce any dirty dishes or those bothersome pots and pans that you always have to scrub to get clean.
So good luck and I hope I was able to offer some good advice.

No but you can always search on-line. I'm sure you came here for more answers than how to cook a possum. I'm sorry that your going through this hard time. I know people can tell you over and over that it's going to be okay and right now it may not seem like it. But eventually it will and you just need time. Try to be positive about this and don't worry karma will get your wife. Be happy and live life to the fullest.

It is hard for me to believe that you had no clue what was going on. Who wants a wife(g/f) who would up and leave and tell the police that you abused her. I hope you take care of your legal business pretty soon. You didn't say if you are married or not. Have you got her listed on your life insurance as a beneficary? Apparently her new bow can use your clothes? Wish you a better relationship next time around. Oh and bury that opossum as it will make your dog sick. No sense in both of you being sick.

LOL! I love it! Don't eat the possum. Take it to a taxidermist and have it stuffed. Every time you gaze at it you can consider your newfound freedom!
