I have varicose veins in my inner calves. The other day one was a little red and tender but not that painful. Went to doctor anyways and he said it was phelbitis and not to worry as it is in a vein that won't throw a clot to my system or anything. Anyways, the next day there is a huge black an blue bruise-y mark that does not hurt at all unless I push on it. The knots are there but much smaller. Soooo, is it normal to have a vein "burst" like this? Does it mean the clot is just being re-absorbed now? I have no insurance and really want to avoid another 100 dollar-you're just fine trip...

Phlebitis IS something to worry about! If you are low-income, first thing Monday morning go to your local welfare office and see about getting Medicaid, then get to a doctor. If you are NOT low-income, don't goof around, get your *** to a DIFFerent doctor who will prescribe you some antibiotics pronto!!

Anytime you have infection in your vascular system you run the risk of septic shock, which can kill you. Don't take a chance, get this taken care of immediately.

After 10 years of struggling with all sorts of creams and pills to treat this embarrassing problem I was able to get rid of my varicose veins by using natural healing methods and alternative herbal home remedies.

Read Diane Thompson's "Varicose Veins Secrets" (also available in electronic format at: http://www.varicoseveinscure.org ). By following this guide book I was able to eradicate my varicose veins pretty fast. God bless!

Having blood clots is not normal... although these small blood clots due to varicose vein are not dangerous they are painful at times and shows marks on your skin..Avoid them by raising your legs after a days work while in bed for a couple of minutes. Also don't wet your feet with cold water if you have tired feet...Wash your feet with warm water...soak it in salt or any aromatherapy oils for a few minutes after washing them..Massaging ur feet while resting helps too...

You need to have the leg re-evaluated. Phlebitis can cause other potentially serious problems. So, contact the Doc's office and let them be aware of the situation. I hope this helps .
