Action, mystery, romance... Well I'll just tell you a few of my favorite books in my teen opinion.
"Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"
"Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There"

"Pride and Prejudice"
"Anna Karenina"

well i'm 13 and i really liked these series...

twilight series by steph meyer (twilight new moon, eclipse) this series has a ton of romance and also a lot of action.

artemis fowl series by eoin colfer (art fowl 1,2,3,4,5) artemis fowl has a lot of action and it's really cool to read about all of the characters. you don't really have a lot of romance until the fifth book.

the keys to the kingdom by garth nix (mister monday, grim tuesday, drowned wednesday, sir thursday, lady friday). this series is sort of sci-fi and deals with some magic. but it's not entirely called magic. more of powers.

the ember trilogy by jeanne duprau (the city of ember, the people of sparks, the prophet of yonwood). first book (the city of ember) is really cool cuz it's genre is basically sci-fi. it's does have any romance but the plot is pretty good. i like the city of ember the best out of the trilogy. the prophet of yonwood is a prequel that was made after the first two books.

maximum ride series by james patterson (maximum ride: the angel experiment, maximum ride:school's out-forever, maximum ride: saving the world and other extreme sports). i absolutely love this series! it's really cool. has a lot of action, some questions that need to be answered, a little of mystery, and some romance.

i hope that helps!

OOo, Try The Daughters of the Moon Series by Lynne Ewing, they're the best! the first in the series is called, Goddess of the Night. They are about a group of teenage girls that each has a special power and in turn they end up having to save the world. I won't give away too much but check it out!!!

I'm sure you'll hear...read...this fifty times, but the Twilight series

Twilight
New Moon
Eclipse

It's absolutely amazing. It has romance, mystery, action, adventure and vampires. I've never met a person who doesn't love them

And you might also want to try the Morganville Vampires series. There are only two books as of yet, but they are very good
Glass House
Dead Girls Dance
You might even be able to preorder the third one....I'm not sure

even though there is a lack of action, the princess diaries series (the books, not the movie) are very good. There are 15 books so far plus a new one coming out in either december or january...go to meg cabot's website (the author of the books) she has alot of series' including the mediator series and 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU series. she also has adult books (nothing nasty) and she is making som kids books.

Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfield

Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer

Inkheart Trilogy by Cornelia Funke (the last book won't be out until next fall, from what I've read on her website)

I've read most of the books I've mentioned and loved them all. I'm in the middle of reading Twilight, but I'm certain you will like it.

The Inkheart trilogy by Cornelia Funke.
1) Inkheart
2) Inkspell
3) Inkdeath (out soon!)
About a family of booklovers who can make literary characters come to life and even go into the magical world they read about. Inkheart the movie is also coming out soon. :) It's especially about Meggie Folchart (the daughter, and only child) who has the strongest power to "read" characters into existence.
