As far as the best, I originally thought AFC West. But, if you look at the players head to head, I might have to concede NFC West.
LT was the best last year, hands down. But, can he repeat those sick numbers? I hope so, but I doubt it. Jackson could be just as productive this year as last (beat LT by 9 yards overall last year). This one is going to be close. But, I give LT the nod.
LJ matches up with Alexander. KCs offensive line took a hit in the offseason and LJ is holding out on his contract. Alexander had the stress fracture in his foot last year. But, he's back and he's only two years off a 27-TD season. Draw.
If Travis Henry was in a RB-by-committee situation, I wouldn't expect more than 1000 yards and 8 TDs. But, Shanahan has said he's going to go with a single RB approach and Henry's the guy. Still, can Henry outperform Frank Gore, especially when SF plays the NFC West teams twice, while Denver plays the AFC West teams twice? I think not. Advantage Gore.
With the Edge running for Arizona and Jordan running for anyone but the Raiders, I would call this very close, but give it to Jordan. Unfortunately, the Raiders suck on offense and Jordan's talent is wasted there. They also play the AFC West teams twice and the Cardinals' O-line is improved. Huge advantage to Edge.
As it is, the RBs in the NFC West are better than the AFC West.

For the best RB's I have to give the nod to the AFC West but it is pretty close. LT and LJ are the two best RB's in the league and when you throw in a very good RB in Travis Henry, it doesn't get much better. Dominic Rhodes and LaMont Jordan are also pretty capable runners. The NFC West boasts an up and coming Frank Gore and Steven Jackson. Both of these runners should dominate for years to come. They also have Edge and Shaun Alexander. That gives them 4 very good RB's to the AFC West's 3. I still give the nod to the AFC West though because they boast the best of the best. As for the worst RB's, I think this is a race between the AFC South and the NFC North. The AFC South has Addai and Jones-Drew who are pretty good but not great. Then they have an aging Fred Taylor, LenDale White and another aging runner in Ahman Green. The NFC North, who I ultimately think is the worst, has an unproven Cedic Benson, oft-injured Kevin Jones, rookie Adrian Peterson, career backup Chester Taylor and who knows for the Packers. That is horrible.

NFC North probably has the worst...a slew of unproven backs play in that division...although some of them look like they might find success this year.
AFC West clearly has the best....and even Oakland has a future playmaker if he's not slowed by his injury, Micheal Bush. He would have had a great year last season if he wasn't hurt...which is probably why he fell into the 4th round after maybe being a top RB in the draft...so add him to the equation and there are some weapons at RB in the west...

AFC West is the best by far. LT, Larry Johnson, and Travis Henry are just amazing. Lamont Jordon kind of kills the talent but its still some great talent at RB in that division.
I take that back about the AFC west best by far, the NFC West is pretty close but i'd still take AFC West RB's
The worst is the the AFC East. Even though my pats are in this division, the backs don't really scare me. Maroney is ok. Ronnie Brown may be the most overrated runningback i've ever seen. Thomas Jones is pretty good, but hes the only good one. Marshaun Lynch is still not proven.

The NFL division with the best RB's is the NFC West. Are you kidding me? Frank Gore, Stephen Jackson, Shaun Alexander, Edgerrin James. The NFC North sucks the most.
