Saga of Darren Shan by Darren Shan (sometimes better known as Cirque du Freak)
Cirque du Freak: A Living Nightmare
Vampire's Assistant
Tunnels of Blood
Vampire Mountain
Intitiation of Death
Vampire Prince
Hunters of the Dusk
Allies of the Night
Killers of the Dawn
Lake of Souls
Lord of Shadows
Sons of Destiny
It's basically about a boy who becomes a vampire and tells his story. It's very good, and the books are quick reads. They're also for young adults. If you want another series for young adults I'd say Garth Nix's "Seventh Tower" series

There have been two other series of books I've found to be as addictive as Harry Potter. I strongly suggest the Eragon Series and The Lemony Sniket(I know this is misspelled sorry) But they have both made for wonderful reads. Hope you take the time to pick them up and enjoy them.

Lord of The Rings series by Tolkien, Dark Tower Series by Stephen King, Xenogenesis trilogy by Octavia E. butler and many more.
There are tons or series which are better or much better than HP which were just not hyped up by the public and marketed as well.

I have answered this question so many times, I decided to dedicate a web site to answer this question. Here it is:
http://www.life-after-harry-potter.com
Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, and a short review of each book.
I hope this helps.
