I am trying to sign up for online protection but am in an endless loop of being asked for my password. How can I sign up for online protection?

This is the story. I got a rebate from at&t. On the check stubb it says: "download AT&T Yahoo! Online Protection today at http://att.yahoo.com/protectnow." I think, "this is free, I'll check it out". so I go to the site and I get this dialog box that says: "Login error ... Lonna you are already signed in to Yahoo!
To access AT&T Yahoo! Software Center, you need to sign in with a AT&T Yahoo! Member ID." Perhaps what I think is my member ID is not and I am signing in incorrectly. Perhaps I don't need this service, as I already have Norton AV. Thanks for your help.

what kind of online protection are you attempting to sign up for? Be aware that you need anti-virus and anti-spyware software on your local computer.

This sounds very suspicious. What kind of online protection are you trying to sign up for? If it's antivirus or anti-spyware, you need these things on your computer's hard drive, not just online. Please explain more and maybe we can help you more.
